Mads Mikkelsen confirmed to replace Johnny Depp in Fantastic Beasts 3 as Gellert Grindelwald

Provider: REXMads Mikkelsen has been confirmed to take over the role of Gellert Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts 3 from Johnny Depp. Warner Bros confirmed the news that the character would be recast following Johnny being asked to step down from the role.
Johnny had played the role of Grindelwald since 2018, having taken over from Colin Farrell, but was asked to resign after losing his libel trial with ex-wife Amber Heard.
