Drunk passenger had to be 'restrained' by fellow travellers and forced flight into emergency landing after grabbing flight attendant

A drunk passenger was the reason behind a major airline's flight diversion to Newcastle Airport, a court has heard. The intoxicated man was so problematic that he was 'restrained' by other passengers mid-air.
