Breaking self-isolation to be made illegal with £10,000 fine

People in England who test positive for Covid-19 will have a ‘legal obligation’ to self-isolate from 28 September.
Anyone who breaks the rules will be liable to pay a £10,000 fine, the government has announced.
The rule also applies to people who are told to self-isolate under the test and trace scheme.
