BBC 'wants to create Britain's answer to The Simpsons' in bid to end dominance of US cartoons

Patricia Hidalgo, director of children's and education at the BBC, is leading the drive for more British cartoons and says it would be 'amazing' if the UK 'could produce Britain's answer to The Simpsons'.
