Tesla Model S P100D just hit a ridiculous record in new speed test
The Tesla Model S P100D has hit a new acceleration record, according to a recent test by Motor Trend . The test was performed in Tesla's "full-on Ludicrous Easter egg mode," and saw the car hit 60mph in 2.28 seconds. According to Motor Trend , that makes it the first production car to reach 60mph in under 2.3 seconds, beating out the Porsche 911 Turbo S and Ferrari La Ferrari.
