Ryan Reynolds finally confirmed as Deadpool lead

Yes, more Marvel casting news, though this time from outside the
core Cinematic Universe. Actor Ryan Reynolds has finally brought
years of rumours to a head with news that he will be playing the
title role in Fox's Deadpool  movie.

Although the film itself was confirmed in September,
Reynolds wasn't formally attached to appear. Given the production
only existed in large part because of his lobbying for it, his
official absence seemed a matter of contract negotiations.
