Ambitions are running high for the smart home. Over the years we’ve been promised that eventually our smartphones are going to talk to our fridges, which can talk to our toasters with a little help from a friendly neighborhood internet-connected toilet. By comparison, the ambition of Philips Hue’s internet-connected light bulbs seem much more limited in scope.
