Women with knee osteoarthritis experience greater pain sensitivity than men

(Wiley) Among patients with osteoarthritis of the knee, women experienced greater sensitivity to various pain modalities -- such as lower tolerance to heat, cold, and pressure -- and greater widespread pain than men.
