UC Davis granted $15.5 million to build world's first total-body PET scanner

(University of California - Davis) The NIH has awarded a grant of $15.5 million to a UC Davis team to build the world's first total-body positron emission tomography (PET) scanner, which could fundamentally change the way cancers are tracked and treated and put the university on the nation's leading edge of molecular imaging.
