KFU astronomer contributed to blazar research

(Kazan Federal University) Blazars are high-energy objects emitting relativistic jets which are perpendicular to their accretion disks. The latter supposedly have supermassive black holes in their centers. Blazars' jets are angularly oriented towards Earth. Blazars are characterized by rapid and noticeable changes in brightness in all frequencies.
