Glowing Clouds Shine in Electric Blue Over Antarctica (Photos)

These magnificent clouds — also known as noctilucent clouds, or NLCs — form in an upper layer of the Earth's atmosphere called the mesosphere, and can be seen in summer night skies from high latitudes.
