West Antarctic ice sheet could collapse as Amundsen Sea is on knife edge

A relatively small amount of melting in the next 60 years, could destabilise the entire ice sheet and the rise of global sea levels by 9.8ft (3 meters), according to the Potsdam Institute in Germany.
