The dog that sniffs out thyroid cancer: Frankie the German Shepard detects the disease 'with 88 per cent accuracy'

Researchers at the University of Arkansas trained Frankie to lie down when he could smell thyroid cancer in a sample of urine and turn away if it was clean. The test was done on 34 volunteers.
