Scientists find 'vampire' bacteria that has a thirst for HUMAN blood

Bacteria like E. coli and salmonella can home in on blood, a process called 'bacterial vampirism.' In people with IBD who have small cuts in the gut, these bacteria can easily find their way into the blood.
