Scientists discover a new virus lurking in bats: Similar pathogens kill up to one in three humans

Scientists have discovered a new virus, the Kiwira virus, in bats - the animal that possibly transferred Covid to humans. It has been found in Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
