Poverty-stricken Ethiopia launches $3million space programme: Astronomers claim scheme will give the country a 'technological boost'

A $3 million (£1.9 million) centre has been set up on Mount Entoto near Addis Ababa and houses computer-controlled telescopes and a spectrograph, to measure wavelengths of radiation.
