Last year methane levels made their biggest jump since scientists began tracking in 1983 

Methane levels rose 14.7 parts per billion in 2020, the largest increase since tracking began in the 1980s. Methane is shorter-lived than carbon dioxide, but traps nearly 30 times more heat.
