Gravitational wave scientists win $3 million: Researchers awarded Special Breakthrough prize for detecting ripples in space-time

Louisana-based Ligo scientists Rainer Weiss, Kip Thorne (pictured) and Ronald Drever, will share $1 million. More than 1,000 contributors will also split $2 million equally.
