Gallstone from a mummified 16th century prince used to reconstruct the ancient genome of E. coli

Scientists from McMaster University have managed to reconstruct the genome of E. Coli using the 400-year-old gallstones of a mummified Italian prince. The genome shows how the superbug has evolved.
