Elon Musk's high-speed LA tunnels rely on technique used by roller coasters 100 years ago

After the unveiling event this month to show off the first LA’s tunnel, engineers have pointed out that it bears semblance to the side-friction roller coasters that started to phase out in the early 1900s.
