China's Bytedance shutters popular lip syncing platform Musical.ly to merge it with TikTok video app

Popular lip-syncing app Musical.ly is merging with homegrown competitor TikTok. As of Thursday, the Musical.ly app was no longer available, as Bytedance moved users to the revamped app.
