Britain's most endangered bird the Willow tit will be driven to the brink of extinction by HS2

The Wildlife Trusts charity claims the £56million rail line is ‘highly likely’ to lead to the Willow tit's extinction in its South Yorkshire stronghold. Its numbers have fallen by 94 per cent since the Seventies.
