Asteroid narrowly misses Earth for St Patrick's Day

A near Earth asteroid first spotted by an observatory in Tucson, Arizona, was expected to pass within four lunar distances of planet earth at 10.37 GMT today, just in time for Saint Patrick's day celebrations.
