Asteroid larger than blue whale will blaze past on Friday

The asteroid, which was first spotted by the Catalina Sky Survey (CSS) near Tucson, will pass by at around 17:30 EST (22:30 GMT) on Friday at just 39,000 miles (64,000 kilometres (stock image).
