Antarctic base where hole in ozone layer was first detected risks falling into giant ice chasm 

The Halley VI Research Station, which is home to the British Antarctic Survey, is set to be relocated 14 miles across the Brunt Ice Shelf, amid fears in could slide into an encroaching fissure.
