U.S. Public Perception of Scientists' Credibility Slips, Survey Analysis Finds

A 2024 survey also found that the general public considers artificial intelligence scientists less credible than scientists in general, with notably fewer people saying that AI scientists are competent, trustworthy, and "share my values."
