FBI arrest man over alleged 4th July terror attack in Cleveland
An Ohio man has been arrested on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack for US Independence Day, following a months-long FBI investigation.Officials alleged that Demetrius Nathaniel Pitts, also known as Abdur Raheem Rahfeeq, planned to fill a van with explosives and target people watching fireworks in downtown Cleveland on the Fourth of July.The 48-year-old allegedly expressed his desire to join al-Qaeda and to conduct a US-based attack that would “hit them in their core”.
