Lost little penguin rescued from drain in Sydney's inner west – video

A lost little penguin has been rescued after becoming stuck in a stormwater drain in the inner western Sydney suburb of Haberfield. RSPCA inspectors managed to flush the blocked penguin out with a gush of water and it was taken to Taronga zoo to be given food and fluids. Haberfield is at least 25km by road from the colony of little penguins at Manly. It was expected the penguin would be released into the wild once it had recovered from its ordeal, the RSPCA said.Continue reading...
