Nitra plant could also be birthplace of 2019 Land Rover Defender; £1bn plant will eventually produce 150,000 vehicles a year
The 2017 Land Rover Discovery is the first confirmed car to be built at JLR's new production facility in Nitra, Solvakia.
At first 100% of production for the new SUV model will be handled by the firm's existing Solihull plant, but the Nitra site will then begin to contribute to the new Discovery's supply when it opens in late 2018.
