Unilever shareholders approve move to the UK
Unilever’s UK shareholders have voted overwhelmingly in favour of plans to move its legal base to London despite warnings that a vote on a proposed Dutch exit tax could go down to the wire. At a shareholder meeting held online on Monday, a total 99.5pc of investors who cast their vote were in favour of Unilever’s unification, bringing the firm one step closer to abandoning its dual-headed structure after 90 years.
