Uber faces Supreme Court grilling over driver rights

Uber is facing its last chance to overturn two court defeats over driver sick and holiday pay in a battle over the gig economy that has dragged on since 2016. In an employment case starting on Tuesday, Uber’s contracts with its drivers will be put under scrutiny before Britain’s top justices of the Supreme Court.
