Top Amazon executive seen as potential Bezos successor to leave company
A long-serving Amazon executive who had been seen as a potential successor to Jeff Bezos is leaving the company, the online retail giant said on Friday. Jeff Wilkes, who runs Amazon's giant consumer business and has been at the company for 21 years, will retire next year.
