Rebound pushes FTSE 100 to best quarter in a decade

The FTSE 100 chalked up its best quarter in a decade despite falling almost 1pc on Tuesday. London’s blue-chip index rose 8.8pc over the past three months as stocks slowly clawed their way back from March’s market madness. A final-day fall took the edge off the index’s gains, but it still scraped its best performance since 2010 by a whisker.
