One million pub and waiting staff will return to work next month

Almost one million restaurant, pub and hotel workers are set to return to work in July as around 60pc of hospitality businesses prepare to welcome back customers. Some 960,000 staff are expected to return to work from furlough over the course of July, according to industry trade body UKHospitality, after Boris Johnson gave some firms the go-ahead to reopen from Saturday July 4.
