BT hangs up on Dixons Carphone

BT has dealt a blow to Dixons Carphone by calling time on a two-decade old relationship with the electricals retailer. The telecoms company has opted not to renew its EE mobile contract when it ends this month in favour of investing in its own retail empire. It is another setback for the retailer's mobile phone seller Carphone Warehouse, which was stung by O2's decision not to continue its contract earlier this year.
