Thomas Schütte to open his own museum
The German artist Thomas Schütte asked: “What do you do with the stuff when you’re dead?” His answer: build a museum to house it. Due to open on 10 April, the 700-sq.-m sculpture hall in the grounds of the Museum Island Hombroich, near Düsseldorf, will show work by international artists as well as Schütte’s own.
