The Theodora Niemeijer Prize 2016, the only Dutch prize for visual arts dedicated specifically to female artists, has been awarded to Sissel Marie Tonn. Her proposed project, Intimate Earthquake Archives, will go on show at the Van Abbemuseum on 27 September 2016. She receives prize money of 10,000.The Iraq-born, Berlin-based artist Hiwa K has won the 10,000 Arnold Bode Prize from the city of Kassel, Germany.
