Rex Ray obituary

My friend Rex Ray, the artist and graphic designer, who has died of cancer aged 58, was a major cultural force in the Bay Area of San Francisco, California, widely recognised for his collage work.Son of Luise and and Charles Patterson, he was born Michael Patterson on a US army base in Germany, and grew up in Colorado Springs.
