National Academy to move to ensure its ‘perpetuity’

The National Academy Museum and School in New York, founded in 1825 by a group of artists and architects including Thomas Cole and Rembrandt Peale, will put its two Fifth Avenue Beaux-Arts mansions at 89th Street up for sale within the next month, a spokesman told The Art Newspaper.
