Ancient bronze statuette lost after the Second World War returns to Berlin
A valuable Etruscan bronze statuette portraying a warrior with lance and helmet has returned to Berlins state museums more than 70 years after it disappeared.Dating from the late sixth or early fifth century BC, the statuette entered Berlins state collection in 1860 and was housed for decades in a hall filled with ancient bronzes in the Altes Museum on the citys Museum Island.
