Spain receive World Cup boost as Yamal nears return from injury

Spain have been handed a timely boost ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign, with teenage sensation Lamine Yamal expected to be fit for the country’s opening match against Cape Verde on June 15.
Head coach Luis de la Fuente confirmed on Sunday that Yamal, alongside fellow winger Nico Williams and Osasuna forward Victor Munoz, is progressing well in recovery and should be available for selection when the European champions begin their tournament in Atlanta.
