TRICHY: Tension prevailed near Thuraiyur in Trichy district of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday after miscreants garlanded the statue of King Perumbidugu Mutharaiyar with slippers. Perumbidugu Mutharaiyar was the king of Thanjavur in the eighth century AD.
