Baruipur rape-murder accused shot twice in back at close range, autopsy reveals

Autopsy reports indicate the Baruipur rape-murder accused was shot twice from behind.The state health department formed a medical board to conduct the post-mortem examination.The government has handed over the encounter probe to the CID for further investigation.Police claim the accused snatched a revolver and fired before being shot.Another accused in the case was remanded to police custody until July 20.
