Another Trinamool KMC councillor Sushmita Bhattacharya Chatterjee in police lock-up

Kolkata Municipal Corporation councillor Sushmita Bhattacharya Chatterjee and her husband Salil Chatterjee face arrest. They are accused of extorting approximately Rs 30 lakh from a senior citizen. The allegations include financial coercion, threats, and physical assault. This incident marks the eighth arrest of a KMC councillor in a month. The complainant claims the couple exploited his vulnerability after family losses.
