Microsoft has announced that a part of its Edge browser will be made open source. The code will be published to GitHub in January 2016, which is next month.
In a blogpost, Microsoft’s Gaurav Sethi and Adalberto Foresti wrote, that the company will open-source “the core components of Chakra as ChakraCore, which will include all the key components of the JavaScript engine powering Microsoft Edge.&rdq
