Call drops: Bharti Airtel sets benchmark at 1.5 per cent
Airtel said it would contribute towards rural education Rs 1 lakh for every 0.01 per cent increase in call drop rate beyond 1.5 per cent every month in each circle of operation.
Even though the Supreme Court’s order setting aside the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) regulation on mobile companies compensating consumers for call drops may have brought relief to the operators, Bharti Airtel has decided to tighten the benchmark for call drops faced by its users.
