Guilt of murder can’t be inferred solely by behaviour after crime: SC

SC has acquitted a woman two decades after being sentenced to life for killing her husband, citing that her guilt cannot be inferred just because she was not found saddened by the death. An error was committed by “heavily” relying upon the statement of her sister-in-law that the woman’s behaviour was ‘very normal’ even after her husband’s body was found hanging, it said​.
