BJP gen secy attempts to enter Sabari temple, held

Surendran along with three others arrived at Nilackal around 7 pm, just after a hurriedly called dawn-to-dusk hartal to protest Hindu Aikyavedi leader K P Sasikala's midnight arrest had ended. They were about to board a bus to the Pamba base camp and further to the Sannidhanam inside the temple complex when a police team blocked their way and said they should come back on Sunday morning for the darshan .
