Dylan Wykes sees Rio Olympic hopes dashed by illness

Canadian marathon runner Dylan Wykes’s dream of racing at this summer’s Rio Olympics was quashed by a virus similar to mononucleosis that derailed the 32-year-old Vancouver resident’s training for weeks ahead of a May 29 qualifying deadline.
