Braves acquire 2nd baseman Brandon Phillips for 2 pitchers

The Atlanta Braves acquired three-time all-star second baseman Brandon Phillips on Sunday from Cincinnati for left-hander Andrew McKirahan and minor league right-hander Carlos Portuondo.
